Rosemary D. Marcuss

Rosemary Marcuss has served as Deputy Director of the Bureau of Economic Analysis since 1998. Prior to joining BEA, Dr. Marcuss served for 15 years as the Assistant Director for Tax Analysis of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). In that role, she was responsible for the CBO projections of federal government tax receipts and analysis of federal tax policy. One persisting emphasis of that analysis was the interaction between the state of the economy, individual and corporate income tax law, taxpayer behavior, and federal budget receipts.

Before joining CBO, she was an economist and managing consultant at Data Resources, Inc. in Washington, D.C. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland, where she was a National Science Foundation fellow.
