Table Headers and Stubs for the July 28, 2006 Gross Domestic Product News Release
This news release will introduce BEA's 2006 annual revision to the national income and product accounts. It will incorporate revisions for annual estimates for 2003, 2004, and 2005 and for quarterly estimates for 2003:I through 2006:I. Tables generally will include annual estimates for the years 2003 through 2005 and quarterly estimates for 2002:IV through 2006:II. Several special tables (tables 1A, 1B, 2A, 4A, and 12C) provide comparisons of the revised estimates with previously published estimates.
For the convenience of users who download information from the news release itself, the ASCII file below contains the headers and stub lines from the gross domestic product (GDP) news release tables as they will be posted on BEA's internet site on July 28. The headers show the years and quarters which will be presented for each table. The complete headers and stubs are shown for the continuation of tables which are too wide to fit on one "page." The maximum table width is 170 characters; the first table in the file is this width.

Beginning with the August 30, 2006 news release, tables will return to their usual formats. Also on August 30, the annual revision news release will be moved to the news release archive file. To access the archives, go to the A-Z site index from the BEA home page and click on the letter “A.” Then select the “Archive of BEA news releases.” Note that the link below this one will take you to an archive of Excel XLS files containing the entire set of NIPA tables as they existed at each estimate date.

Annual Revision News Release Tables
The news release for August 1, 2006 will introduce BEA’s 2006 annual revision of the personal income and outlays accounts. It will incorporate revisions for annual estimates for 2003, 2004, and 2005; for quarterly estimates for 2003:I through 2006:I; and for monthly estimates from January 2003 through May 2006. Tables will include annual estimates for the years 2002 through 2005, quarterly estimates for 2002:IV or 2003:I through 2006:II, and monthly estimates for December 2002 or January 2003 through June 2006. Special tables 12, 13, and 14 will provide comparisons of the revised estimates with previously published estimates.

The headers show the years, quarters, and months which will be presented for each table. The complete headers and stubs are shown for the continuations of tables which are too wide to fit on one “page.” The maximum table width is 164 characters.
The presentation of tables 1, 5, and 6 has been changed since the 2005 annual revision news release. Table 1 is now presented in four parts rather than three due to the need for wider columns. Tables 5 and 6 now have the banners over the data columns (to distinguish current-dollar measures and chained-dollar measures) that were introduced with the March 31, 2006 monthly news release.
Changes in the Regular Monthly News Release Tables
Beginning with the August 31, 2006 news release, tables will return to their usual formats. Also on August 31, the annual revision news release will be moved to the news release archive file. To access the archives, go to the A-Z site index from the BEA home page and click on the letter “A.” Then select the “Archive of BEA news releases.”
