Table Layouts for the 2008 Annual Revision News Releases
Table layouts described below for the July 31, 2008 Gross Domestic Product News Release and for the August 4, 2008 Personal Income and Outlays News Release are provided primarily for the convenience of users who wish to make advance preparations for their programs to download data from these news releases soon after they appear on the mornings of their release dates. The tables available through the links below contain no estimates, but they show the format in which the tables will be released including dates for the data on each page, line stubs, and footnotes.
The actual news releases will appear in their usual locations on this web site. When the next estimates replace these news releases in August, the annual revision news releases will be moved to the news release archive file. Access to the news release archive is available through the “A-Z index” link near the top of the BEA home page and on several other pages as well. Click on the A-Z index link, and then click on the letter “A.” Then select the “Archive of BEA news releases. The news release archive is also accessible as part of “Previously published estimates” from the “National” or “Gross domestic product” links on the BEA home page.
Table Headers and Stubs for the July 31, 2008 Gross Domestic Product News Release
This news release will introduce BEA's 2008 annual revision to the national income and product accounts. It will incorporate revisions for annual estimates for 2005, 2006, and 2007 and for the quarterly estimates for 2005:I through 2008:I. Tables generally will include annual estimates for the years 2004 through 2007 and quarterly estimates for 2004:IV (or earlier) through 2008:II. Several special tables (tables 1A, 1B, 2A, 4A, and 12C) provide comparisons of the revised estimates with previously published estimates.
For the convenience of users who download information from the news release itself, the ASCII file below contains the headers and stub lines from the gross domestic product (GDP) news release tables as they will be posted on BEA's internet site on July 31. The headers contain the years and quarters which will be presented in each table. The complete headers and stubs are shown for the continuation of tables which are too wide to fit on one "page." The maximum table width is 170 characters; the first table in the file is this width. The tables follow the format used for the 2007 annual revision with the dates moved forward one year.
Beginning with the August 28, 2008 news release, tables will return to their usual formats. Also on August 28, the annual revision news release will be moved to the news release archive file.
Table Headers and Stubs for the August 4, 2008 Personal Income and Outlays Annual Revision News Release
The news release for August 4, 2008 will introduce BEA’s 2008 annual revision of the personal income and outlays accounts. It will incorporate revisions for annual estimates for 2005, 2006, and 2007; for quarterly estimates for 2005:I through 2008:I; and for monthly estimates from January 2005 through May 2008. Tables will include annual estimates for the years 2004 through 2007, quarterly estimates for 2004:IV or 2005:I through 2008:II, and monthly estimates for December 2004 or January 2005 through June 2008. Special tables 12, 13, and 14 will provide comparisons of the revised estimates with previously published estimates.

The headers show the years, quarters, and months which will be presented for each table. The complete headers and stubs are shown for the continuations of tables which are too wide to fit on one “page.” The maximum table width is 164 characters.
