News Release: Employees Rate Bureau of Economic Analysis Among Top Federal Agencies

In 2008, BEA conducted its fourth Organizational Assessment Survey (OAS).  The survey was administered by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and sought to assess employee views in a number of organizational critical areas.

BEA once again scored above the median on all seventeen dimension of the OAS.  BEA set Performance America (PA) benchmark highs on six of the seventeen dimensions: Work Environment, Leadership and Quality, Innovation, Fairness and Treatment of Others, and Communication.  While we are proud of these new benchmark highs, we are more pleased that of the 23 organizations that OPM surveyed in 2008, BEA achieved the highest overall ranking.

BEA is among the best in the world in producing and improving the most relevant economic statistics available.  It is because of our exceptional staff that we have earned this reputation.  Our staff deserves to work in an outstanding organizational climate and BEA leadership remains committed to maintain this level of employee satisfaction into the future.
