This aggregate is the sum of wage and salary disbursements and supplements to wages and salaries less contributions for government social insurance. This measure and a slightly modified version-termed "income subject to adjustment"-are used in the residence adjustment procedure for both the annual and the quarterly estimates of state personal income and for the annual county estimates.
