GDP and the Economy: Advance Estimates for the Second Quarter of 2011.  (PDF)
Real GDP increased 1.3 percent after increasing 0.4 percent in the first quarter. Imports slowed, federal government spending turned up, and business investment picked up. Consumer spending slowed.

The current-dollar value added of these affiliates decreased 9.1 percent to $587.9 billion. Employment by these affiliates fell 6.3 percent.
