Business Situation: Advance Estimates for the Third Quarter of 2005

Real GDP increased 3.8 percent in the third quarter after increasing 3.3 percent, primarily reflecting accelerations in consumer spending and Federal Government spending. Federal Personal Income Tax Liabilities and Payments for 1959-2003

These updated estimates incorporate the results of the 2005 annual NIPA revision and newly available IRS tax return data for 2003. For 2003, payments exceeded liabilities by $27.9 billion; liabilities decreased $53.8 billion. Icon for P D F document. PDF version (124 kb)
