GDP and the Economy: Second Estimates for the Third Quarter of 2009 (PDF • 193 KB)
Real GDP increased 2.8 percent after decreasing 0.7 percent in the second quarter. Consumer spending, inventory investment, exports, and residential investment turned up. Corporate profits increased $130.0 billion after increasing $43.8 billion in the second quarter.
