For all series, except the U.S. direct investment position abroad on a historical-cost basis, data for 2006-08 have been superseded by revised data that appear in the June 17, 2009 BEA news release, “U.S. International Transactions, 1st Quarter 2009” available at http://www.bea.gov/newsreleases/rels.htm. That release provides summary data for direct investment. In the interim, annual revised data for 2006-08 for direct investment capital flows and income by country and by industry are available at http://www.bea.gov/international/di1usdbal.htm under “quarterly data.” The detailed country by industry tables will be posted by July 24, 2009. In addition, the U.S. direct investment position abroad data are being revised for 2006 and 2007, and estimates for 2008 will be introduced. These estimates will be posted on June 26, 2009.
