Note on Per Capita Personal Consumption Expenditures and Population

The Bureau of Economic Analysis state per capita personal consumption expenditure statistics are calculated by dividing personal consumption expenditures by population. BEA has incorporated official intercensal population data released by the U.S. Census Bureau on November 7, 2024, to calculate updated annual per capita personal consumption expenditures statistics for 2010 through 2019. These updated statistics are available in the Regional Interactive Data tables.
