Royalties and license fees with unaffiliated foreigners, available for a the first time by type of intangible property, were introduced beginning with estimates for 1987, and certain management fees with unaffiliated foreigners were reclassified from royalties and license fees to “other” private services beginning with estimates for 1986. Repairs and alterations of equipment physically exported from, and imported into, the United States were reclassified from merchandise trade to “other” private services beginning with estimates for 1989.
