Results of BEA’s benchmark survey of selected services transactions with unaffiliated foreigners for 2001 were incorporated into the accounts. The benchmark survey was designed to capture more completely rapidly growing business, professional, and technical services, as well to assure that transactions related to e-commerce and transactions conducted by the Internet were included in reported transactions. Estimates were revised for 2001.
