Results of the U.S. Treasury Department’s benchmark survey of foreign holdings of U.S. securities for 2004 were incorporated into the accounts. Estimates were revised for 2002-2004. In addition, results of a first-time benchmark survey of foreign holdings of U.S. short-term instruments and negotiable certificates of deposit were incorporated into the accounts. Estimates were revised for 2002-2004.
