Worldwide Activities of U.S. Multinational Enterprises: Preliminary 2022 Statistics

Selected annual data tables on the activities of U.S. multinational enterprises will be discontinued or impacted on August 22, 2025, beginning with the 2023 preliminary data. Discontinued or impacted tables will be archived.

The affected tables are marked:

Discontinued = new data will no longer be published. 
Impacted-no annual = data planned only for benchmark publications (occurring every five years).  
Impacted-modified annual = data will be reduced and table renamed for annual years; full data planned for benchmark publications.

This publication presents preliminary statistics on the financial structure and operations of U.S. multinational enterprises (MNEs) and their foreign affiliates from the 2022 annual survey of U.S. direct investment abroad, conducted by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
