Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased in 2,273 counties, decreased in 809 counties, and was unchanged in 24 counties in 2024. County-level changes ranged from a 76.6 percent increase in Carter County, MT, to a 46.3 percent decline in Baca County, CO.
Personal income, in current dollars, increased in 2,768 counties, decreased in 331, and was unchanged in 7 counties in 2024. County-level changes ranged from a 22.6 percent increase in Harding County, SD, to a 23.3 percent decline in Issaquena County, MS.

Local Area Personal Income, 2006
WASHINGTON DC, April 24, 2008 – Today, the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released estimates of personal income at the county level for 2006 based on newly available source data. Personal income is a comprehensive measure of the income of all persons from all sources. In addition to wages and salaries it includes employer–provided health insurance, dividends and interest income, social security benefits, and other types of income.1

February 2008 PERSONAL INCOME AND OUTLAYS: FEBRUARY 2008 Personal income increased $56.0 billion, or 0.5 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $48.7 billion, or 0.5 percent, in February, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $12.0 billion, or 0.1 percent.

WASHINGTON DC, March 26, 2008 - U.S. personal income grew 6.2 percent in 2007, down from 6.7 percent in 2006, according to preliminary estimates released today by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. On average, personal income has grown 6.2 percent for the last four years. Inflation, as measured by the national price index for personal consumption expenditures, slowed to 2.6 percent in 2007 down from 2.9 percent in 2006.
